Operating a 340-mile network of former Union Pacific and BNSF branch lines, along with main line trackage rights between Grand Island and Columbus, we provide the connectivity our customers rely on to reach national markets. Through strong partnerships with Union Pacific and BNSF, we ensure dependable access and coordinated service that supports both daily operations and long-term growth.

As an integral part of the region’s grain supply chain, Nebraska Central serves nearly a dozen unit loading facilities and supports more than 250 unit trains annually in collaboration with our Class I partners. Beyond grain, we move steel, ethanol, minerals, farm products, and other essential commodities, while also offering transload capabilities that expand shipping options for area producers. Our focus remains simple: deliver safe, efficient rail transportation that keeps our customers competitive and strengthens the Nebraska economy.
